Friendly reminder

The quality of your art does not make your OC any more or less accurate; in fact, don't even worry about the art (if you really are concerned about the art and nobody can change your mind, just try to make it look presentable. It doesn't have to be amazing). The quality of the art and the quality of the OC are, most of the time, completely unrelated in every way. If an author cannot illustrate his writings, does that make him or her any less of a skilled writer? No.

So you may ask why this has been brought up; well, lately, there's been this Tumblr blog, fuckhetaliaocs, that goes around bashing Hetalia OCs just because they aren't drawn in the Hetalia style. If this ever happens to you, think nothing of it; just remember that the accuracy of the OC matters above all else.

I'd also recommend to not listen to any "tips" the above person might have regarding your OC's accuracy. The fact that they bash OCs just for the art makes them look like a complete fool, and fools typically know not of which they speak.


tl;dr: "Bad" art (and this is completely subjective to opinion, so the definition of "bad" will indeed vary among persons) does not equal bad OC.
